Here is the teaser for my latest film. The process is slowing due to my recent jobs, but hopefully this will be finished by the end of the summer.

Another block animation test. Yes, I know they have no hands. Still animating those. The camera scene is when they will be wrestling around, which isn’t animated yet either.
Here is a turn of my characters along with the block animation. This is just the first run through with the animation. I didn’t want to block in any of the animation with the characters yet, mainly because I’m having a lot of problems with the rig and painting weights, so I just left them in the position they are already in (which may look kind of confusing with the story). Just trying to get a feel for the timing of the piece.
This isn’t a real procedure or anything, but rather just practice for myself. I used the sampler info applied to mental ray’s msss_fast_skin shader for the transparency of the arm texture. I also simply applied a bump and color map of an image for the bone texture.
Lately, I’ve been testing out some more realistic models and textures with anatomy and medical procedures, and this is what a got so far. I still need to add more textures to clean it up a little and then add a little animation and a background. Keep posted to see the results.
Here are a couple reference pics

Here is the latest submission for DrawerGeeks Jr. The theme was triplets, and for some reason I came up with three little kids in the snow underneath this huge tree that I drew looking out the window at a tree outside. A little out of season I know, but it was just another quick sketch with Sketchbook Pro, then a little work in Photoshop to touch it up a bit.
This is a quick fun sketch I did for DrawerGeeks Jr. - a website that was created here at Huntington University by Digital Media Arts students, based off of the real DrawerGeeks website. My goal one day is to produce work that is good enough to be eligible for the real one, but until now, there is the Jr. for us aspiring artists. Hey, you got to start somewhere!
This is the image I created that will be used for part of a post card to promote a Senior Exhibit of myself, along with other Senior Art majors, coming in May. I first rendered out an image of my monkey character sitting in the position I wanted using image based lighting from a picture taken in my livingroom. Then in Photoshop, all I really did was add noise, gaussian blur, and len’s blur to the monkey. I then added the shadow on the wall using a copy of himself with the saturation and opacity way down, and the shadow on the floor and couch using the burn tool.
Here is my most recent work for my Senior Project. The short is about wolverine and cyclops as babies. I am thinking about a toon shaded look for this piece, but I don’t have any renders yet. I have the basic models done, even though they still need a little tweaking, and I also have most of the rigging done. I am currently working on blocking in the animation and creating a simple set for the play area. Keep posted for more pictures and info. These are my two main characters to date. Everything is nurbs except for the hands. That’s right, I’m a nurbs guy!
